The Brief
The owners of Petteril House, luxury self catering accommodation near Penrith, Cumbria, approached Greystoke Web Design to build a website for their self-catering accommodation. The accommodation is listed on Airbnb, so integration with that system was critical. An online booking system was also essential. The booking system needed to handle discounted stays for different numbers of guests, and length of stay. It also needed to be able to apply premium rates for high season, and to be able to levy additional charges.
For a fully professional look, I added branding and logo design.
The Solution
Premium themes can often suffer from performance issues. For this project we chose the MotoPress Hotel Booking Booklium theme. It comes with a great integrated booking system. The design is slick and modern. It’s fast. Then we customised the theme so that it matched the branding.
We configured the accommodation, seasons, rental rates and services as part of the setup. Extensive testing ensured that the Airbnb integration works. We also provided bespoke, comprehensive handover documentation.
The site currently works with BACs payments, but can be extended to include various payment gateways including PayPal and Stripe in the future.
The Completed Site
A fast, responsive, secure and modern site, the website is hosted on our Kualo Green Energy reseller plan. We also provide an ongoing support and consultancy service to help with any queries and to provide and early support and training needed.
